When Starting a business you have to start small. Don't expect everything to happen over night. Create your business, Build cliental and Grow. When I started all I knew was I wanted to have my own Photography Studio. Have I reached that goal yet? No, but each day I get closer to that goal.
Creating your business is not easy but it can be easier with some tips and tricks. Think of a name and logo for your business. Research to make sure the name and logo is available then start to think of the type of photography you'd like to build on. Whether its portraits, still life, sports, wedding, advertising, etc. Once you have the styles you'd like build your cliental around it.
There is a lot of advertising to do with building cliental. From social media to familiar faces you see on a daily basis. Start by creating a social media platform to advertise some of the work you have done or want to do. Post weekly about your content and even maybe do some challenges. Get the audiences attention, invite, giveaways, whatever creative way you want to do to get your audience to grow.
Once you've built the foundation the rest falls into place. You'll grow with each experience and shoot you have. Getting through that first Photoshoot is the hardest part but after that those clients will share your work which will draw in new clients. Always be open to new opportunities and ideas from clients. You'd be surprised what you can learn but getting input from others.
Where I started..
